I've finished going though the deletion candidates, there were only a few that I disagreed with. Thanks for taking the time to flag those for cleanup! 🙂
Just a note about categories:
If you encounter an incorrect/inappropriate category that someone has added to their article, you can remove that category directly from the article (as we previously discussed), or if you're still having trouble removing categories, you can just bring it to my attention via a message. The category pages don't actually exist on the wiki until a user visits that page and creates it. I notice this is what you were doing (adding a single letter to the category page). So essentially, you were creating categories yourself that I immediately had to delete (which ends up being more work than simply editing the article which referenced that category). - Sitb(Message wall / Talk page) 10:40, March 14, 2020 (UTC)
Edit the article, press edit source, scoll all the way down, and it'll have a list of categories, you can delete these, if this doesnt make sense, search it up on google because there is probably a guide for it
fandom is a big website so I don't understand why it has a username filter where you can't choose a username that someone already has, not only this, but it can't be similar, so Prlckly was taken too. Prlckly is my username on EMC so I don't understand why I have to dodge name filters to have my actual username
I would say that Doctor snakes would deserve to get removed because it was made 4 months ago and has very little content. Texas faction is probably because it has almost no content and is probably about the factions server, not the towny server.
So, I'm trying to familiarize myself with the existing standards on this wiki for when an article is deemed to be of little use (and thus justify deleting it). Many wikis classify short articles that need to be expanded/improved as "Stubs", anticipating that someone could come along later and improve the article. Often times, those stub articles could remain in that state for a long time, but they are always flagged as articles that need improvement. That approach is something along the lines of "an article for every topic", but they don't necessarily need to be very extensive.
However, I also understand the strategy behind deleting an article if the original creator just put up one line of text/code and then never returned to add more stuff to the page, even after several months. I have deleted many of those types of articles from this wiki already, based on users' recommendations. If a wiki tends to often have simple (arguably useless) articles created, then I can see how it can get littered with pages that no one really cares about. So why keep them? I'm thinking that pretty much describe how things happen on this wiki, am I correct?
In any case, I have removed those articles I mentioned in my first post. Technically, I suppose they can always be re-created if someone finally decides to add some meaningful content about those topics. - Sitb(Message wall / Talk page) 10:11, February 14, 2020 (UTC)
I used to have 2 towns and like 25 but I stopped playing for a bit (2 months.), which butchered the numbers, came back to 1 town and 2 people. Regrowing town since January 26th. Expect to see more in the future :)
