Viridia is an Empire that has been around for 4+ months (as of editing this 12/18/19). It is a factions empire and is derived from the latin word Viridi meaning "green". This is because the original Viridian capital had a huge surplus of trees and grass.
History[]
Pre-Founding[]
In late July 2019, Cheterer opened up a new "empire" on the heel of the Italian boot, this was a precursor to Viridia, and would eventually be evacuated and abandoned after attacks, and the fact that everyone else spawned in North America. The name of this Empire is unknown, as our logs do not have any citing of a name, but it is now known as Dormon.
The Expanse of Old Viridia and its Colonies
Founding[]
The Viridian Empire was founded on August 3rd by Emperor Cheterer along with Lafayette and Dark62Eagle, located in Anticosti Island, Canada. The Viridian Empire grew tremendously after the destruction of Emperor Cheterer's base in Southern Italy (now Dormon). The Viridian Empire grew to 17 members and was at one point the most active faction in the world.
Colonization[]
The Viridian colonization began shortly after it was founded, many users in the Bay of St. Lawrence wanted protected from Tower, a faction (HQ'ed in New York) that looked to spread it's influence of power north. Viridia created colonies all around the Bay of St. Lawrence including Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, and eventually some colonies in Africa. The colonies were a good source of income to the ever-growing Viridian empire. They eventually fell due to inactivity and raids estimated around October or November 2019.

Fall[]
In late August, Emperor Cheterer became unactive on Minecraft, this led to a surplus of raids and visits to Viridian from unwelcome guests. Though it is not known who destroyed Viridia, speculation is towards Raktown, a southwestern Greenland faction who was defeated by Viridia in the Polish Wars, or Chungus, a meme faction that was originally founded in Massachusetts. Either way, Viridia was very inactive for around 3 months.
Attempted Rebith[]
In early December of 2019, Cheterer became active on EarthMC again. This led to the attempted rebirth of Viridia. The classic Viridian skyscrapers were reconstructed, and the state house was repaired. This also became where tanker555, largemalechicken, and JC_Twi55 became the prominent figures in Viridia. The reconstruction was a failure in Anticosti due to a very large amount of attacks. Viridia was too weak to become truly restored as an American powerhouse.
Successful Rebirth[]
After the disbanding of the (now) Old Viridian Empire, the Viridian citizens immigrated to a former colony in Southeast Africa. This colony, now called New Viridia became very successful very fast. Around 5 players were online all day in New Viridia, allowing New Viridia to overrun any and all enemies in Africa 5 to 1. New Viridia is now a powerhouse in Africa and will continue to grow.

New Viridia thrived for about a month in Southeast Africa. On December 21st, 2019, Cheterer got banned from EarthMC for using flying to visit a summit of leaders in Mediterranean Europe
